Dear supporters & facebook group,

Thank you for joining my group. I've been wrongfully incarcerated for 18 years, so this new technology which seems to have brought the whole world together is something I am still trying to understand.

I will try to send an e-mail a couple of times a month to keep you informed with what is going on with me and if there's any new developments in my case. I've been working on an interview over the last month with a magazine called " The Texas monthly" and the interview will be printed in the September issue.

Also, because I am still incarcerated and have no access to the internet it will take some time for me to respond to any personal e-mails.

However I LOVE getting letters and establishing friendships with men and women. So if you want you can write to me directly at this address

I am crazy about sports, I love musik, I love to read books by Eric Jerome Dickey and Paulo Coelho. I am inspired by the wisdom of Confucius, Ghandy and Gibrail. I like Martin Luther King Jr and I like the committment of my friends and keeping up to date with current affairs.

Please know that joining my group to me is a strong indication that we are able to still care for another as human beings. It's very encouraging and very inspirational...Thank you.

Dear Reader,

it’s a beautiful day. The sun is out and I’m sure that everyone is going about their lives as though it’s just another day. But that’s not the case for me. After almost 18 years of injustice, I find myself still caged up like an animal while the world continues to rotate around me. Usually I am an upbeat and positive person, but today I feel alone. You know, I usually don’t like to share my feelings, and would rather pretend that everything is ok. But the fact is: I’m tired of being locked up in this cage. I have no life!

I often hear encouraging words like “be patient”. Also I hear the words: “I know what you are going through” or “I understand”. How can anyone begin to know or understand what I’m going through?
I’ve spent 13 years of my life on death row because of the lie of one man and the gross miscarriage of justice by the state of Texas.

I watched men! Human Beings! Shackled like animals and sometimes dragged out of their cells to be taken away and murdered!

One man; a friend of mine; stood before me, hours before he was to be executed, and cried like a baby! Telling me that he didn’t want to die. How does anyone even understand that? There were close to 300 men murdered by the state of Texas during my time on death row. No one can begin to understand the mental and often times emotional abuse that the state has exposed me to.

And because of that, I feel alone… hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for me and I’ll smile just because.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Was once quoted as saying: our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. „In the end“, said Dr. King, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends... in just anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere...

My name is Anthony Graves, AND I NEED YOUR HELP! I’ve lost over 17 years of my life for a crime that I did not, could not, and would not EVER think of committing... I need your help.

I have been fighting against this very large machine of injustice with the help of my attorneys and supporters who believe in me; but it hasn’t been enough. I need your help.

The state of Texas, the small county of Burleson has decided that they cannot afford to admit to their mistake and grant me what they stole from me over 17 years ago...my freedom. So they’ve done everything in their power to continue this path of injustice against me. They’ve hired special prosecutors, attorney general’s office to take this case to trial, and ultimately, they’ve withdrawn from the case. Now I just found out that another special prosecutor has been hired by the local prosecutor.

Her name is Kelly Siegler and she is a former prosecutor out of the Harris County D.A.’s office. Harris County has sent more men and women to death row than any other County in the United States. It has become apparent that they are going to pursue this injustice under any circumstances and that’s why I need your help.

How can you help?

I am currently sitting in a jail with a bond for $600,000. I’ve been sitting here with this bond for more than 3 years, and we are trying to raise the funds that will finally release me, and allow me to help my attorneys more… you can also write letters to the atty. general’s office asking them to drop these ridiculous charges against an innocent man. You can write to media and ask them to get involved to help expose this injustice …and you can write me to keep me hopeful and encouraged… I welcome everyone’s letters!
